October 20th marked the end of the first segment of a new weekly program for toddlers and caregivers called “You, Me, and the Trees”. Our group started with four toddlers (plus their accompanying adult) and over the course of six weeks grew to twelve! Throughout those six weeks, we immersed ourselves in outdoor learning through sensory driven experiences and exploration.

On a typical day we made music and crafts, participated in interactive stories, learned new words in American Sign Language, got our hands dirty in a mud kitchen, hiked the trails searching for bugs and animal tracks, and so much more! Keeping things exciting up to the end, we finished our last session with an exploratory pumpkin dissection.

It was such a pleasure being able to be a part of such meaningful experiences and watching the love and wonder for the outdoors grow in these little kiddos. Thank you to all of the families who supported and participated in this new program. I look forward to starting back up with Fall Segment II which starts November 10th and continues until December 8th. If you are interested in joining our next session, you can find more information including registration on our website here.
