Summer Camp 2025
Registration begins February 3 for members, and February 5 for the general public.
NOTE for B.O.B. Camp: Parents must drop their camper off and pick up from Bowers Farm on M-W and at Johnson Nature Center on Th-F.
Forest Friends is a nature-based learning program for preschool youth, ages 3-5. In this introductory experience, campers will get a gentle glimpse into our amazing outdoor world. We’ll explore the 40-acres of natural habitat at the Johnson Nature Center from the tallest hardwood trees to the smallest crawling critters, through our various themed camps. Campers must be potty trained and emotionally ready for an away from home experience. Forest Friends is running Monday - Thursday this year.
Nature Camps are an immersive, weeklong experience for children ages 6-13 to learn and meaningfully engage with the natural world. Activities are mindfully created to provide campers with a deeper understanding of the connections between themselves, our community, and the natural world. Campers will experience canoeing, archery, hiking and more.
Our camp coordinator, ‘Ms. Lou’, has extensive experience in camps, early childhood education, and equine camps and instruction
I have a great passion for teaching and being a positive role model. Children learn through experience and I strive to make every child’s learning environment inviting, safe and exciting. Creating opportunities for children to grow and explore the world through hands on experience is a passion of mine.
