Staff Spotlight: Meet Leigh

Leigh Rowe

My passions in life are working with children and being in nature. Which I have successfully blended together for the perfect job! 

I’ve known since I was in 4th grade that I wanted to be a teacher, but I also knew I wanted something different than the traditional classroom environment. As a child, school was difficult for me; I always wanted to be moving around, exploring the world, and learning by getting my hands dirty! This is what inspires me to create the learning experiences for children that I once dreamed of. 

I graduated from Central Michigan University (fire up!), where I studied Early Childhood Development and Learning, with a focus on Outdoor and Environmental Education.

I have found so much joy in helping children build knowledge, curiosity, and love for the outdoors. Every day is a new adventure!
