Nature Head to Toe

The rainy start to our week made it the perfect environment for our creepy crawly day for insects today.  Campers enjoyed hunting for bugs throughout the forest. We rolled logs to observe and collect the creepy crawlies that live underneath, as well as, used nets to sweep for flying insects in the meadow. Campers demonstrated great curiosity with their magnifying glasses.

Our Forest friends enjoyed a nice hike throughout the forest to start their day and ended the afternoon in our adventurous mud kitchen. As Miss. Frizzle would say, “Take chances, make mistakes and get messy”!

Tomorrow campers will wear their nature center camp shirts and join together at the sugar shack for a all camp picnic lunch and roast marsh mallows over the camp fire while sharing camp stories from their week.
