Exploring Nature

Here are the Johnson Nature we encourage our campers to be hands on and explore the amazing world around them. We encourage a childhood experience filled with dirt, mud, puddles, trees, sticks, and camp friends. Bugs seem to be a Nature Center favorite at camp this week for both our Forest Friends and our Elementary campers, who have been hunting for centipedes:

Fun Fact: The word Centipede comes from the Latin word centi meaning 100 and the word pede meaning legs.
